Opiod & Substance Use Prevention Project
MCAVHN implemented the Opioid & Substance Use Prevention Project in the spring of 2023 in response to the opioid crisis present in Mendocino County. Prevention education is brought to youth in the schools through presentations and groups and to persons within the communities through outreach activities. The purpose of the project is to expand awareness and education around opioids and stimulants, polysubstance use, overdose incidences and reduce stigma targeting persons who use drugs. Services focus on improved community health while strengthening referral pathways for those persons seeking services.

You are not the darkness you endured.
You are the light that refused to surrender.
